Continual work on the sun

So over the weekend I have tried many different ways of placing two hand prints together to see if its possible to make a better image of a sun while still being able to tell they are hand prints. This has been really difficult and time consuming, I have tried so many different angles, overlapping of the fingers and palm as well as creating a hand that has the shape of the fingers attached and separate to the palm. All of these different experiments seemed to have been unsuccessful to create a sun as is shown below which are additional to the previous shapes produced over the past week. I tried overlapping the thumbs, two or three other fingers, palms but every time they will not match up and it will not make the shape of a sun.

I also thought of using the Aboriginal sun symbol of half a circle with six circles around it, but this didn't work so well either.
