Painting the logo's symbol

I tried different colours and outlined the painting to see what it looked like, it work well but needed to become a vector graphic so this design doesn't quite work. At first I wanted to make the sun look like it was drawn but I think using a painting works better and makes it more organic and creative. I was told to try and make the text part of the image and use a slight curve in the typography to make it look like part of the landscape although these examples are a bit too curved but its the initial design.
