Painted sun Design

This sun design where I traced a paint style I think works fairly well although if I had more time I may have made a few more changes. The typeface I chose to use was helvetica light 40pt because of its light and thin appearance, working well with the landscape image of the logo. The colours are Pantone 740 C for the text and Pantone 138 C for the sun image. I chose these specific colours because of they are directly taken from the Australian landscape featuring the yellow-orange colour of the rocks and the beach and the red soil featured in areas of Western Australian and Northern Territory as well as other areas around Australia. I wanted to show growth and the connection to Australia through the colours and style of the text and image.

This design was influenced by the following images, a sunrise that has rays coming from the top of the sun and the horizon of the landscape underneath it.
